Pre-Master’s Two Semester

Overview

UC’s Diploma in Postgraduate Preparation is a comprehensive two semester pre-master’s programme for international students who hold an advanced diploma or an associate degree, but not a full bachelor's degree (some programmes may require additional requirements). 

Upon completion of the Diploma in Postgraduate Preparation, with a minimum GPA requirement, you will be guaranteed entry to a range of UC master’s degrees across Business, Engineering, Science, Health, Education, and Arts disciplines. 

This pre-master’s pathway comprises one semester of coursework delivered exclusively by our dedicated on-campus UC International College (UCIC), preparing you for postgraduate study at UC (including courses developing your cultural awareness, communication, critical thinking, and data analysis skills); and a second semester in advanced undergraduate courses in your chosen fields of interest, delivered by UC. 

The equivalent pre-master’s pathway for domestic students is the Diploma in Advancing University Studies. 

Entry requirements

To enter the Diploma in Postgraduate Preparation pre-master’s programme at UC you must be an international student and hold an advanced diploma or associate degree. Some additional prerequisites may also apply depending on your intended master's degree.

You will also need to meet our English language entry requirements with the equivalent of IELTS 6.0, with no band below 5.5.

Diploma in Postgraduate Preparation outcomes

After completing the Diploma in Postgraduate Preparation (with a minimum GPA), you can apply to enter your chosen master’s degree programme at UC.

Please check that the end date of your Diploma programme aligns with the start date of your preferred master's degree.
