When you make a payment through any of our online payment options, we will require you to enter your name, e-mail address, and payment card details. We require this information in order to successfully process your payment, and to effectively maintain your account.
Information Security
All information entered for payment purposes are secured through the use of secure servers to ensure that your personal and payment information is encrypted before being sent. We use several layers of security protocols to prevent unauthorised access to any sensitive data. All card payments are processed securely through ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited. The University of Canterbury does not store any payment card information on our servers.
Cookies
A “cookie” contains a small amount of information which your browser stores on your computer’s hard drive. Cookies used by the University do not contain any personally identifying information. Our websites work best with cookies enabled, however this is not mandatory.

By using any of our websites, you consent to the collection and use of information by the University of Canterbury. If we change our Transmission of Payment Policy, we will post these changes here so we can keep you aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
Payment Gateway
Our payment options are safe and secure. Card payments are made directly through TLS Encryption software to ensure that your personal details are kept safe. When using our payment gateways, none of your Card payment details will be stored within the University.
