Virtual Production allows for a higher level of innovation blending traditional filmmaking with digital enhancements, requiring a diverse skillset working across platforms and technologies.
Studying towards UC’s Postgraduate Certificate of Virtual Production (PGCertVirProd) enables you to build foundational skills in virtual production tools and storytelling, preparing you for either professional advancement or further postgraduate study.

The PGCertVirProd is made up of 60 points (two courses) learning foundational skills in virtual production technologies and narrative storytelling.
Starting in February each year, the programme will take six months full-time or up to 18 months part-time to complete.

2025 SSL: $9.72 per point ($1,166.40 for 120 points)
UC offers a Postgraduate Diploma in Virtual Production and a Master of Virtual Production, which include the same courses as the Certificate plus additional studio work and practical projects.
You can transfer your completed courses in the Certificate to the Diploma or Master’s degree, with approval.
This programme will prepare you for roles in virtual production teams developing film, television, game, live action, animated, and interactive media development across the industry.
