The Postgraduate Certificate in Transport Planning at UC prepares students to enter the transport planning profession. You will develop the ability to help address the problems associated with poorly planned urban transport systems, and combat transport issues like congestion and greenhouse gas emissions.
To apply for this Certificate, you will need to have previously completed a university bachelor’s degree relevant to transport planning (such as Geography, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Planning, Sociology), with at least a B Grade Point Average.

The PGDipTranPlan is made up of a total 120 points, which includes 90 points of compulsory courses and 30 points of elective courses.
Starting in February, the Diploma will take 1 year of full-time study to complete or can be completed within 4 years part-time study.

2027 tuition fee estimate: $40,200 (120 points)
2028 tuition fee estimate: $42,200 (120 points)
You may choose to progress to the Postgraduate Diploma in Transport Planning or the Master of Transport Planning.
You will find Transport Planning employment opportunities in local and central government, and within private consultancies involved in transport management and analysis.
This could involve working on future traffic development projects or maintenance through to planning transportation routes for freight, shipping, metro systems, and other issues around policy and analysis.
