A career in transport planning will see you addressing issues with and finding solutions for urban transport systems.
Through the Postgraduate Diploma in Transport Planning at UC you will gain the knowledge to evaluate existing transport systems of all sizes, consider and critique related issues like land use, health impacts, emissions, and congestion, and work with stakeholders to develop informed solutions that benefit transport users and their community.
To enrol in the PGDipTranPlan, you must have qualified for a university bachelor’s degree relevant to transport planning (such as Geography, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Planning, Sociology), with at least a B Grade Point Average.

The PGDipTranPlan is made up of a total 120 points, which includes 90 points of compulsory courses and 30 points of elective courses.
Starting in February, the Diploma will take 1 year of full-time study to complete or can be completed within 4 years part-time study.

You may apply to progress on to the Master of Transport Planning.
Transport Planning graduates will be prepared for roles local and central government or private consultancies, working in areas such as traffic management, land and urban use planning, traffic modelling and analysis, transportation policy, shipping and freight operations, and many others.
