Learn to navigate the pedagogical, social, and ethical complexities of AI and digital technologies in education with the Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Education at UC. 

Designed for teachers, educational leaders, learning designers, learning support professionals and other education practitioners, this diploma explores foundational theories in AI literacy, digital pedagogy, learning design, and educational innovation, preparing educators who can critically evaluate and apply AI-informed approaches within Aotearoa New Zealand and global educational contexts.

Through compulsory and elective courses in topics including leadership, special education, literacy education, and ethics you will learn to design, adapt, and implement AI-enabled and digitally supported lessons, assessments, and learning activities that support learner agency, inclusion, and equitable participation.

Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Education

Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Education

To be accepted into the Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Education, you must hold an Aotearoa New Zealand bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline, or equivalent qualification, with at least a B grade average.

Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Education

The Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Education at UC is made up of 120 points, including 90 points of compulsory courses and 30 points of elective courses.

Beginning in February, July, or November, the programme will take 1 year full-time or up to 3 years part-time to complete.

If you are interested in continuing with your postgraduate study, you can apply for entry to the Master of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Education.
