The Postgraduate Certificate in Sport Coaching and Coach Development at UC is designed for graduates and working professionals looking to develop an advanced understanding of sports coaching and sports coach development as professional practice.
This six-month part-time programme will teach you how to support and improve coaching practice - from community-level sports to high performance contexts - through facilitation, mentoring, and reflective learning.
The PGCertSpCCDev serves as a starting point for further postgraduate study, or career progression in the sports coaching sector.

To qualify for entry to the Postgraduate Certificate in Sports Coaching and Coach Development at UC you must hold an Aotearoa New Zealand bachelor's degree or have at least five years’ employment (or coaching) experience and evidence of appropriate industry (or coaching) qualifications.

The PGCertSpCCDev is made up of 60 points, comprising 30 points from compulsory courses and 30 points from elective courses.
This programme is delivered through a blended learning model.
