Artificial Intelligence

• Examine the fundamental principles underlying artificial intelligence. 
• Cover core AI concepts such as representation, prediction, learning, and evaluation.  
• Consider the challenges posed by the ever-increasing use of computing technology and AI. 
• Explore major concepts and algorithms in artificial intelligence such as problem solving, reasoning, games, and machine learning. 
• Study AI as a major or a minor in a wide variety of degrees at UC.  

Artificial Intelligence major

Complete the compulsory courses for the Bachelor of Computer Science, along with the following major courses:

PHIL137 The Philosophy and Ethics of Artificial Intelligence OR PSYC105 Introductory Psychology – Brain, Behaviour, and Cognition is recommended.

200-level

• EMTH210 - Engineering Mathematics 2
• COSC266 - Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Principles 

MATH270 - Mathematical Modelling and Computation 2 OR STAT213 - Statistical Inference is also recommended.

200-level/300-level

Artificial Intelligence minor

For the minor in the Bachelor of Arts, Arts (Specialisations), Commerce, Computer Science, Digital Screen, Health, Product Design, Psychological Science, Science, Social and Environmental Sustainability, Sport, or Youth and Community Leadership, complete the following courses:
