UC’s Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence (PGDipAI) offers you the opportunity to learn more in-depth about artificial intelligence and develop skills highly sought after by employers.
Studying AI courses at university will keep you aware of global trends in AI development to help innovate for new and emerging technologies.
To enrol in the PGDipAI, you will need to have previously completed a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
You will need to have a B Grade Average in 60 points of your 300-level courses in your previous degree.
If English is your additional language, you are also required to meet UC's English language requirements.

The PGDipAI is made up of 120 points of courses, which includes 60 points of compulsory courses and 60 points of electives courses.
Beginning in either February or July, the Diploma will take 1 year of full-time study, or up to 3 years part-time.

With approval from the Head of Department, you may choose to substitute a maximum of 30 points from other subjects at 400 or 600-level, for example in MATH, STAT, MBIS, or others.
2024 SSL: $9.17 per point ($1,100.40 for 120 points)
2025 SSL: $9.72 per point ($1,166.40 for 120 points)
UC also offers a Master of Artificial Intelligence.
The AI master’s degree includes the same courses as the Diploma, plus an additional 60-point project course.
With approval and meeting requirements, you may choose to transfer your completed courses from the Diploma to the Master’s.
Graduates will enter the workforce with advanced AI training and be equipped with the ability to keep up with AI innovations in industry.
This programme will also give you the confidence to engage with professional clients and other AI experts.
