University Hall offers a supportive and fun environment in your first year of study. With 533 residents, you are bound to meet other residents who are studying the same courses as you, or have similar interests, whether they are sporting, cultural or musical.
The hall offers the flexibility of single-gender or non-alcohol areas, and also offers Māori or Pacific co-location on request.
There are two room options, West or East. West are older buildings with rooms located along long corridors. East rooms are in pods of 5 or 6 with two bathrooms. Some East rooms are apartment-style with the addition of a living room and kitchen area at no additional charge. Catering is provided for all residents.
Each Taurima has a key group of residents to support throughout the first year. A mix of academic tutorials and an active social programme encourages a healthy work-life balance.
With residents studying a wide range of degrees and with a number of international students, you will gain access to diverse ideas and cultures.
