UC's expert lecturers and researchers will provide hands-on learning and research opportunities across a wide range of Science subjects, preparing you for a career in Science in New Zealand or overseas.

Science at UC

When you study Science at UC you will be learning alongside Science students from all around New Zealand and the world. You will work with expert scientists in our modern Regional Science & Innovation Centre and purpose-built research hubs, and have access to the most field stations of any New Zealand university.

Whether you choose to study Geography, Biotechnology, Linguistics, Antarctic Studies, or one of the many other Science subjects on offer, your time at UC will include access to social clubs, student events, and cultural opportunities on our vibrant campus, and throughout the beautiful city of Christchurch.
