The Art of Science Competition 2021

UC Science and UC Arts are proud to present The Art of Science Competition: an opportunity for school students to express their love for science through art, and win exciting prizes!

The Art of Science Competition is a collaboration between the College of Arts and the College of Science and is open to New Zealand School students from Year 5 to Year 13. Students are encouraged to show their love of science through expressive artistic mediums.

As creative expression can take on many forms, we welcome a variety of artistic media: ranging from video, music, writing, drawing, photography, and more.

There are 3 categories of school categories:

Apprentices (Year 5-7)
Interns (Year 8-10)
Masters (Year 11-13)

The top 10 entries from each category will be displayed online and as an exhibition at the University of Canterbury Ilam campus.
1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category will receive a prize-pack including College of Arts and Science merchandise and vouchers from Whitcouls.

We enjoyed a range of wonderful entries in 2020, you can read more in this blog post.
