Big day incoming! Herea tō waka | Welcome Day is your first chance to experience what life at UC is really like: the people, the vibe, the campus, and the community you’ll soon be part of.

You’ll get to explore campus, meet your lecturers, check out your subjects, and start building your UC crew. Your whānau are welcome too, with plenty of opportunities to learn how they can support you.

Herea tō waka means “tie up your waka,” symbolising your arrival and grounding at UC. Welcome Day is where that journey begins—your moment to land, connect, and feel at home.
