HOW TO APPLY

Experience what UC has to offer in one action-packed day at Rā Tōmene | Open Day.

Rā Tōmene translates as ‘a day to explore, inspect, and look around’, and that’s exactly what Open Day is about.

Spend the day on campus, explore our halls of residence, meet staff and students, and get a feel for the subjects, spaces, and experiences that will shape your life at UC.

What to expect at Rā Tōmene | Open Day

Our recipe for a successful Rā Tōmene | Open Day is to plan ahead, but allow plenty of time for wandering, exploring, and experiencing campus life. We recommend you:

In between, there will be plenty to see and do, with entertainment, activities, demos, and showcases to explore across our buildings.

Information sessions

Book two or three information sessions to get a taster of your preferred subjects, or some insight into UC services, support, and opportunities. Most sessions are recorded, so if you miss out on one, you can watch it online later.

Whānau – we’ve got you, too! Book into a Parents and Whānau session to learn how you can support your young person’s university journey.

Campus and accommodation tours

Book a tour of Ilam Campus, Dovedale Campus, the UC RecCentre, or our Central Library, or drop into our halls of residence at any time throughout the day.

It’s the best way to get your bearings, explore our beautiful campuses and get a glimpse of your future life as a UC student.
