- Are you new to UC?
- Do you board, or live with your friends or whānau?
Be part our non-residential hall – we have an exciting programme planned for this year!
UniLife is a year-long social mentoring programme, run by students for students. We are here to help you find your feet at UC, meet other students, make friends, and have fun exploring together what UC has to offer.
No matter whether you are fresh out of high school, an international student new to Aotearoa New Zealand, a mature student here for a career change, or embarking on your postgrad journey, UniLife is the place for you!
Our fabulous team of Kaitaki Ākonga | Student Leaders know just too well how hard it can be to navigate uni and they are looking forward to sharing their own experience and hacks to give you the best possible start to your personal UC journey.
So far, so good, you might be thinking – but what actually happens on UniLife?!
Easy – if you are new to UC but don’t live in the halls you will have received an invite to your UC email address to like our UniLife Facebook page and will receive monthly newsletters with all crucial information on your life at UC outside of the classroom. We will also invite you along to UniLife events like Burgers and Lawn Games, UniLife Quiz Night, or Sports Day. This is what we call UniLife Basic.
If you want to get more out of your UniLife experience, join UniLife Teams! We have 5 UniLife Teams run by our amazing Kaitaki Ākonga | Student Leaders. Regular catch-ups with your team, social and fun group activities to bond over, and tips and tricks shared by your Kaitaki Ākonga | Student Leaders will help you navigate UC and make the most of your UC experience!
