2026 STEM Careers Fair

13 May 2026

On Tuesday, Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury (UC) welcomed around 90 employers to campus for the annual STEM Careers Fair, connecting thousands of students with industry leaders, graduate opportunities, and future career pathways.

HOW TO APPLY

Bringing together organisations from across a wide range of sectors, the event showcased strong demand for UC talent and the growing importance of industry-university connections in preparing graduates for a changing world of work.

Ranked #2 in New Zealand for employment outcomes (QS 2026), UC equips students with the skills, experience and industry connections needed to thrive in the workforce. Within six months of completing their studies, 91% of UC graduates are either employed or engaged in further education.

The Careers Fair plays an important role in integrating career development into the student journey, helping students build networks, explore opportunities, and better understand the industries available to them. Through ongoing partnerships with employers, UC continues to support students in developing the adaptable, real-world capabilities increasingly valued across today’s workforce.
