On December 9 we are upgrading the library catalogue to the new Library Search!
We hope that this platform will provide a straightforward way to discover most of the library’s materials, both print and online. We’ve divided the search results up by material type, so if you’re looking for an article, you don’t need to wade through the books (and vice versa). Both print and electronic versions of a title will appear, so you should be good no matter which format you prefer. And you can sign in once to both access electronic material and to place requests.
What will happen on December 9?
- The current library catalogue (libcat.canterbury.ac.nz) will experience outages.
- The Library Search Beta site will be available throughout: Search Home | Library Catalogue Search
- Current MultiSearch will be available throughout (and after): https://research.ebsco.com/c/g6lqvo/search
- There will be a short outage of the main library website search box – this shouldn’t be more than a few minutes.
