Research Interests

Research interests include:
-Performance-Based Seismic Design and Assessment Philosophy
-Displacement-Based Design
-Role, assessment and mitigation of residual deformations
-Seismic design of self-centring precast/prestressed buildings and bridges
-Vulnerability assessment and seismic response of existing reinforced concrete buildings
-Retrofit/Strengthening strategies (i.e. Fibre Reinforced Polymer, FRP, materials or alternative non-invasive solutions)
-Modelling of the seismic behaviour of precast/prestressed and connections and systems
-Use of high performance materials for seismic application (i.e. high strength concrete, HSC; fibre reinforced concrete, FRC, fibre reinforced polymers FRP, shape memory alloys, SMA)
