The Postgraduate Certificate in Structured Literacy supports classroom teachers, literacy interventionists, and allied professionals (such as speech-language therapists) to strengthen their expertise in structured literacy assessment and teaching, particularly for children with literacy learning challenges.
By analysing and evaluating structured literacy approaches you will develop the ability to use evidence to inform your instructional decisions, monitor learner progress, and reflect on the effectiveness of your structured literacy practice.
Whether you are seeking to formalise your existing professional practice, enhance your effectiveness in structured literacy instruction, or move into specialist literacy positions within schools and related services, UC’s fully online Postgraduate Certificate in Structured Literacy will enable you to make a valid contribution across a range of education contexts.
This degree is offered exclusively online - see Tuihono UC | UC Online for all information on courses, start dates, and applications.
The Postgraduate Certificate in Structured Literacy at UC consists of 60 points, which includes 30 points of compulsory courses and 30 points of elective courses.
Beginning in February or July, the Certificate will take up to 2 years part-time to complete.
See Tuihono UC | UC Online for all information on courses, start dates, and applications.
