Video: Visualising the evacuation of 5,000 occupants from a simulated school environment with the Möbius viewer.
We are now able to view crowd movement in 3D, animating simulated crowds in large numbers and also able to recreate experimentally measured crowd movements to inform testing and validation processes.
Key aspects:
1. Imports geometry from 3D data-rich formats: IFC (BIM), FBX or DataSmith files
2. Reads in crowd movement data from JSON or HDF5 time-based data files
3. Allows full control of the playback process in VR headsets, on PCs or Macs.
4. Displays the building as semi-transparent or opaque, textured views to generate a range of visual insights into the evacuation processes.
5. Illustrates key metrics such as heatmaps, flow rates, and flow counters.
6. Store still images for inclusion in reports or analytical documents.
7. Built on top of Unreal Engine 5, leveraging MassCrowd and MassEntity systems.
