Teaching Quality Hub

26 June 2026

UC's Teaching Quality Hub partners with schools to support collaborative research and improve teaching and learning through research-informed, high-quality Professional Learning and Development (PLD).

HOW TO APPLY

Professional Learning and Development (PLD)
Flexible, stackable study options

Our Professional Learning and Development (PLD) courses draw on cutting-edge domestic and international expertise and are designed to meet the needs of working education professionals. The programmes build workforce capability across early childhood, schooling, and tertiary education in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Our self-paced, short PLD courses are flexible and stackable. Courses are offered in-person only. You can choose to complete the courses non-credited or credited in the enrolled pathway.

If you choose the credited enrolment pathway, you can gain 5 points per course towards a postgraduate education qualification. The credited pathway has two enrolment steps through both Humanitix and myUC. Assessments within this option are set in real-world contexts, where you can utilise and embed your day-to-day work/practice. Assessments will be completed via our online learning management system. *Please note the credited pathway begins in Term 3 2026.
