Aukaha Tau tekau mā rua (Year 12)

At Aukaha Tau 12, taiohi Māori receive information on courses and degrees taught at UC and what is needed before starting University, (entry requirements, scholarships and course planning). Interactive college sessions allow taiohi Māori to explore what is on offer.

The whānau at Te Waka Pākākāno | Office of the Assistant Vice-Chancellor Māori, Pacific and Equity and Tuākana Mentors share their own student experiences and talk about life on campus while sharing kai with the visiting taiohi Māori.

Aukaha includes keynote speakers, a student panel, Q&A session, and interactive sessions in Arts, Business, Engineering, Health Sciences, Māori Communications Strategy and Practice, Physics, Product Design, Science and Teacher Education, Youth and Community Leadership.

Aukaha Tau tekau (Year 10)

At Aukaha Tau 10 taiohi Māori will experience short interactive sessions that help them discover how interests can relate to future opportunities.

UC Māori support staff and Tuākana mentors are heaviliy involved in the day and visiting taiohi Māori are able to hear about their student experiences and life on campus.
