UC Business School International School Leavers Scholarship

1 September 2026

Now available to eligible international students from New Zealand and overseas high schools when enrolling in a Bachelor of Commerce in 2027. The scholarship provides a tuition fee reduction of up to NZ$10,000 and can be held alongside selected UC scholarships. It is designed to help high-achieving international students begin their business studies at UC and reduce the cost of their first year of study. UC Pre-masters

6 July 2026

For any students interested in the Diploma in Advancing University Studies (DipAdvUniStud), please apply for their intended Master's degree and indicate on their application which intake of the pre-master's programme they wish to join (October or February). The application will then be assessed for the pathway and, if successful, you will receive a full offer for DipAdvUniStud and a conditional offer for the Master's.

Tuition Fees Payment

6 July 2026

Receipts are issued as soon as payments have been received and processed. To help set clear expectations for students, please inform them to allow at least five working days for payment processing. This is particularly important for payments made close to weekends or public holidays as processing times may be longer.

UC Deans Award Extended to 2027

5 June 2026

Our prestigious scholarship is now available to international students who meet academic merit standards for 2027. Students will receive the following fee reductions: Undergraduate $4,000 and Postgraduate $8,000.

Students will automatically be assessed at time of application and, if eligible, will be sent a Deans Award offer along with their Offer of Place. Students can accept their full Offer of Place in myUC and this will be tied to accepting their Deans Award. They must accept their full offer within 2 weeks of receiving it to be eligible for their award. For qualifications with Special Programme Fees, students must pay the full tuition fees for the whole qualification. This award is not deferrable to another year.

Accounting Professional Bodies

Becoming a professional accountant means joining a professional body that is recognised where you want to work. The UC Master of Professional Accounting and Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting (CA pathway) degrees are aligned with four key professional bodies: Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), CPA Australia, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). BE(Hons) September Intake 2026

UC is offering an accelerated pathway for high achieving international students who are pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours. Students can gain their BE(Hons) in as little as 3.25 years – versus the standard 4 years, resulting in reduced fees and less time away from home. For more info, download the flyer here.

TOEFL Score Scale Update

In January, TOEFL introduced an updated score scale (from 1-6 in increments of 0.5) and our English language requirements have been updated accordingly. Click here for more details about the English language test results required to study at UC.

Change of Application (CoA)

7 May 2026

Our agents are now able to request a change of qualification and subjects for their student applications via connectUC BEFORE a full offer of place has been generated. For full details about how to request a change of application in connectUC, please click here. If the student has already received a full offer, then contact our Enrolment team to request CoA. 

*Please note: if they want to change the application year as well as qualifications/subjects, the first application must be withdrawn first and a new application needs to be submitted for a different year.

Master of Health Sciences (Nursing)

Our faculty will start assessing applications for 2027 soon and arrange interviews as they process applications this year. Any students for whom English is not their primary language will be required to complete an interview with a faculty member of the programme. Apply now for 2027!

Diploma in Advancing University Studies (2-semester Pre-Master’s)

To enrol in this programme, please apply for their intended Master’s degree (and state on their application their intention to firstly study Pre-Master’s). Admissions would then issue an unconditional offer for the DipAdvUniStud and a conditional offer for the Master’s degree.

International Deans Awards for 2026

We are now offering Deans Awards scholarships to students who meet academic merit standars for study in 2026.

UC Business School Entry Requirements

Entry requirements have been revised to a B- GPA or equivalent for the following programmes:

• Master of Business Information Systems
• Master of Business (to become Master of Business Management)
• Master of Financial Analysis
• Master of Marketing
• Master of Professional Accounting

Students with a C+ GPA will be considered for the Postgraduate Certificate in Business pathway, and those below this will be considered for the UCIC delivered Pre-Master's programmes.

Pathway to a UC Master’s Degree

We’re thrilled to introduce our new Pre-Master’s programmes—one semester (16 weeks) or two semesters (32 weeks)—for international students who don’t yet meet direct entry requirements for master’s. Delivered by UCIC, these programmes build academic and communication skills.
