Value: $5,000 tuition fee reduction
Eligibility criteria:
In 2027, the scholarship will be awarded to any international student who:
- enrols in the UC Bachelor of Commerce for the first time, and;
- is not transferring from another UC programme, and;
- gained admission via NCEA in the 12 months prior to their UC start date.
Value: $10,000 tuition fee reduction
Eligibility criteria:
In 2027, the scholarship will be awarded to any international student who:
- enrols in the UC Bachelor of Commerce for the first time, and;
- is not transferring from another UC programme, and;
- is a citizen of one of Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, and;
- gained admission via one of the high school programmes listed below,
Qualifying programmes:
- Bangladesh: Bangladesh Higher School Certificate (HSC)
- China: Chinese National College Entrance Examination (Gaokao)
- India: AISSC / CBSE, ISC / CISCE, India State Boards
- Indonesia: Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA)
- Malaysia: STPM, Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)
- Sri Lanka: Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level)
- Thailand: Thai Mathayom 6
- Vietnam: Grade 12
- International: International Baccalaureate Diploma, General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) – ‘A’ Levels), CIE / CAIE
Scholarship Tenability
The scholarship can be held with any of the following scholarships:
- UC Dean’s Award,
- UC International First Year Scholarships
- UC High Achievers Scholarships
It will normally be applied towards your first year of tuition fees, but if you also get the UC International First Year Scholarship or Southeast Asia High Achievers Scholarship, it will be applied towards your second year.
Application Process
- Eligibility for the scholarship will be assessed automatically; there is no need to apply.
- Your eligibility will be assessed once you have received an offer of place.
- Assessment will take place on a weekly basis
