Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Introduction

Innovation and Entrepreneurship studies at UC focuses on developing your creative, entrepreneurial, and innovative skills to generate new business ideas.

This programme will teach you end-to-end business processes so you can look for emerging market needs, solve complex problems in a creative way, or identify unique prospects to launch a new product or business venture.

Your studies at UC will give practical opportunities to work with real businesses on new products, services, and solutions.

What will my study involve?

  • Learn how to solve complex problems, recognise new business opportunities, and develop the essential skills in planning and project management to make them happen.
  • Explore current global markets, trends, and latest technologies that change how we do business, with practical projects or an internship in your final year applying your skills to real businesses.
  • Manage innovation process, set up your own business venture, or gain experience from industry experts through Te Pokapū Rakahinonga | UC Centre for Entrepreneurship.
  • Include a minor in Innovation or a minor in Entrepreneurship in several degree options to customise your studies with your business ideas.
