Meet the growing demand for skilled supervisors with the online Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Supervision (PGCertProfSup).
Building on your undergraduate degree, this qualification examines models of supervision across a range of sectors in order to develop your abilities to provide effective professional supervision.

The PGCertProfSup is made up of 60 points (two courses), which are taught fully online. The coursework will examine theoretical models of supervision in health, education, social services, or community contexts and includes reflective journals, presentations, and portfolios to document your learnings within your own professional practice.
The Certificate can be started in July 2026 or February 2027, and will take at least six months part-time (or up to two years) to complete.

UC also offers a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Supervision which includes the same online courses as the Certificate, plus two additional electives taught either online or on UC’s main campus or Manawa near Christchurch Hospital.
You may begin with the Certificate and transfer your completed courses to the Diploma, with approval.
