SMS and voice calls are two of the methods currently available for multi-factor authentication (MFA). MFA is an extra security step used to confirm your identity when logging in to services such as Outlook, Teams and OneDrive.
If you currently use either SMS or voice calls to authenticate your login, you will need to switch to a more secure authentication method, such as Microsoft Authenticator, before the end of November to ensure you can access your UC account.
For instructions on how to switch your MFA method and more information, visit this webpage.
For new students and those already using an authenticator app, no further action is required.
