In order to register for support, each student must:
- Book a meeting with an Accessibility Advisor, which can be done in-person or via Zoom.
- Provide Supporting Evidence to verify their eligibility for support.
When registering with a chronic condition, most supports will be approved for the remainder of the current Academic Year. This included Semester 1 & 2, as well as the subsequent Summer School terms beginning in November and the following year's January.
Students must re-register for each new academic year. Re-registering can be as easy as filling out a quick form that is emailed to currently registered students each summer.
Re-registration is necessary because our team must begin work before most students will have finalised their new enrolments for the new year, so we need to manually check who is and isn't returning to study. It is not about confirming that chronic conditions are still impacting students, and new supporting evidence is generally not needed.
Lecture note taking support must be renewed each semester, as it has to be set up separately for each paper you are taking. If you use note taking support in a semester, we will email you before the next one to ask for your new papers.
Support for Temporary Impairments will be given an end-date informed by your Supporting Evidence.
While every attempt will be made to provide the support required as soon as possible, there may be delays in providing services or it may not be possible to provide every support required.
- Study support - Limited Full-Time Study, neurodiverse workshops, accessible formats and assistive technology, notetaking
- Bookable rooms - private spaces reserved for students registered with TRW|SAS
- Exam support - Examinations, departmental tests, mid-year and end-of-year exams
- Scholarships - Scholarships and funds for students with accessibility challenges
- Parking (Links to UC parking website) - Mobility parking, wheelchair taxis, bus services
- Temporary impairments - Temporary impairments or temporary medical conditions that affect your ability to study
