Bookable rooms for TRW | SAS students

There are four rooms available to students registered with Te Ratonga Whaikaha | Student Accessibility Service.

Registered students must request access in order to book these rooms online. They are available to be booked on a 'first-in, first-served' basis.

HOW TO APPLY

Please email TRW|SAS if you would like access to these rooms. Once access is granted, you will be able to book them online at your convenience.

Access is reserved for students registered with TRW|SAS.

Please be aware that, on rare occasions, the Examinations team may override a student’s booking in order to hold a test in one of these rooms. If they do so, they will inform you via email.

All of our bookable rooms are available 7 days a week, from 8am to 10pm.

  • Jack Erskine 034A (aka the Kākāriki | Green Room) - PC & Mac
  • Jack Erskine 037A (aka the Kikorangi | Blue Room) - PC & Mac
  • James Logie 102 - PC & Mac
  • James Logie 102A - PC

If you have any problems with a booked room, please contact TRW | SAS during our office hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm), or Security outside of those hours.

Code of Conduct
  • Please do not bring hot or smelly foods into these rooms.
  • Please do not leave rubbish in these rooms.
Specialist software

All Windows PCs in these rooms are loaded with the following assistive technology:

  • JAWS screen reader
  • Natural Reader screen reader
  • MAGic screen magnifier
  • ZoomText screen magnifier/reader
  • OpenBook optical character recognition
  • Dragon speech recognition and audio transcriber
  • TextHelp learning support program

In addition, the Green room PC has a keyboard with large, high-contrast keys.

 

In some cases, specialist assistive software may be installed in other computer labs on campus.
