There are often many barriers for students wishing to continue education at university level, and UC acknowledges that for students of developing countries, in particular, assistance may be required to get there.
To encourage these students and try to rectify possible imbalances, UC offers a number of equity-based scholarships available for international students.
Have a look through the list and also search our scholarships database using the filters - e.g. your Level of Study, Faculty area, and 'International Student'; to find other scholarships open to all International Students.
Each scholarship has different eligibility criteria (e.g. subject/course, level, citizenship, age, school, region, etc.) and may require different supporting documentation.
Check if you're eligible by reading the Regulations for each scholarship before you apply. If you are eligible, fill out the appropriate form online. Please note - you need to have created a myUC account prior to applying for any of these scholarships. See our 'How to apply' page for more details.
Purpose: Manaaki Scholarships are offered by the New Zealand Government to build future leaders in developing countries. Full scholarships are available for both undergraduate and postgraduate study, depending on your home country. See Manaaki New Zealand Scholarships website for more details.
Value: Varies but typically includes tuition fees, a stipend and cover of some other costs.
