UC's Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Exercise Physiology (PGDipCEP) provides training and clinical experience to support those managing temporary injuries, disabilities, or chronic disease and health risk in their everyday lives and workplace.
Graduates will meet requirements to apply for accreditation with Sport and Exercise Science New Zealand, Clinical Exercise Physiology New Zealand, or international accreditation bodies such as Clinical Exercise Physiology UK (provided you meet their additional requirements).
The programme is offered online through Tuihono UC | UC Online, with a total 20 days onsite in Ōtautahi Christchurch for practical learning and tests.
The PGDipCEP is made up of a total 120 points, which includes three compulsory courses and one elective. Up to 20 days are also spent in clinical placements in Ōtautahi Christchurch to complete practical skill applications and tests.
Beginning in February or July, the programme will take 2 years part-time to complete (up to a maximum of 4 years).
