The partnership was announced during a recent visit to Malaysia by UC’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research and Innovation Professor Lucy Johnston.
Malaysia has been an important part of the UC community for more than 70 years, with generations of Malaysian students studying in Ōtautahi Christchurch. This new initiative builds on those strong connections and represents the next phase of UC’s partnership with UTM.
Through the Joint Satellite Laboratory, UC students will have opportunities to:
be part of international research projects.
work with students and researchers from another country.
explore emerging technologies and new ideas.
gain valuable global experience.
The partnership brings together researchers, students, and partners from both universities, supporting collaboration and helping students develop the skills needed for an increasingly connected world.
