This year, UC entered a group application in partnership with all eight NZ universities, to enable our students to complete a six-week programme in India focused on Sustainable Development, Social Entrepreneurship, and Innovation. We are pleased to share our application has been successful, meaning two lucky UC students will join a group of 16 students from across NZ universities on an immersive six week programme spanning Delhi (based at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi), Chennai (IIT Madras), and Mumbai (IIT Bombay). The dates for the programme are 10th January – 22nd February 2026.
Applications are now open, via the portal here, with all details and application criteria summarised here. The application deadline is Friday 12 September.
- Eligible students will include undergraduate and postgraduate students with a demonstrated interest in Sustainable Development, Social Entrepreneurship, and Innovation.
- Applicants must have completed at least one year of full-time study and be in good academic standing.
- Applicants must be NZ Citizens or Permanent Residents.
- There are 2x optional info sessions being run for interested students on 20th and 28th August. Registration for these info sessions is in the link above.
- Please note there is a $500 contribution required for selected participants to ensure full commitment to the programme. All other costs (flights, accommodation, in country expenses) are covered by the scholarship.
