About the Event
Do you need a little extra help uploading your observations to the iNaturalist app? Want to take a closer look at what you and other citizen scientists have collected?
Drop into Te Ngaki o Waiutuutu Community Gardens, where experts will be on hand to answer any questions. Microscopes will be set up to help you look at some of the tiny things collected, and other tools will be available to help you get a good photo.
Te Ngaki o Waiutuutu Community Gardens(external link) can be accessed by walking upstream along the path beside the stream - pick it up from Engineering Road.
If you are keen to get together with other like-minded iNaturalists and put your own identification skills to the test, feel free to join us!
City Nature Challenge is an annual bioblitz-style competition among cities around the world, with a friendly contest to see who can make the most observations of nature.
You have until Monday, May 10, to upload your photos to iNaturalist to make your observations count in the challenge final totals.
Join the City Nature Challenge project page(external link) for updates and to track how we are doing.
