Lee is a professional member of the Association of Professional Futurists (APF), and a well-respected strategy and foresight practitioner with over 30 years of experience working in the commercial creative sector.

His main areas of focus are on helping businesses prosper while navigating through uncertainty, and the adoption of smart approaches to positioning, brand, and business strategies.

He has held senior roles at Clemenger BBDO, Publicis Group, and WPP owned network agencies and has worked with a diverse range of business verticals including post services, telecommunications, banking and financial services, airlines, transport and logistics, consumer technology, FMCG, movie studios, local government, and NFPs, internationally and across New Zealand.

Lee was a member of the Science & Society Reference Group for NZ Government from 2013-2016. This was set up by the Prime Minister’s Chief Science Advisor to advise government officials on where the problems and opportunities lie in STEM education and public engagement.

In 2022, he received a 2022 Imagination Leadership Award from the Institute For The Future (IFTF). a US–based, global not-for-profit think tank. This honour was awarded in recognition of his outstanding service and creative contributions to the Urgent Optimists (IFTF) community.

Lee is a past Chartered Marketer and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketers, and over the years, has been a frequent speaker at industry related conferences and events. He has been a guest lecturer for various tertiary institutions and industry qualification programmes, within New Zealand and overseas.
