See the entry requirements and application process for the Master of Applied Data Science Online to On Campus programme at UC.

HOW TO APPLY

To complete the Online to On Campus programme you will need to start your degree  online in September 2025 and be able to then move to Christchurch, New Zealand, ready to complete the remainder of the programme on campus at UC starting in February 2026

To study in Christchurch, you will need to arrange travel to New Zealand, insurance, accommodation, and other associated costs.

Entry requirements


In order to
be considered for the Online to On Campus MADS programme you need to meet all three of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a subject other than Data Science.  
  • Minimum B Grade Point Average in your 300-level courses (or equivalent), or other evidence of achievement at postgraduate level.
  • UC's English language requirements.

If you don’t meet all the entry requirements, we have pathway programmes that may help.

How to apply


If you can commit to starting the programme online in September 2025, and moving to Christchurch before the start of Semester 1, 2026, and you meet all three of the above entry requirements, you can apply for the Master of Applied Data Science Online to On Campus programme. Here’s how: 

  1. Create a UC login account through myUC

  2. Start a new application as a "new student" and select the year as "2025"

  3. Fill in your details of your academic history and previous study

  4. Select the qualification you want to apply for as "Master of Applied Data Science - Online to On Campus"

  5. Follow the steps and submit your application.

  6. UC will review your application and be in contact.

Completing this course will meet our minimum English language requirements.
