Applicants must be blind or have a significant

visual impairment and have registered with

the University’s Disability Resource Service

by 31 March 2020

Eamon Molloy Memorial Scholarship

$15,000

(tuition fees)       

Applicants must be either:
a. citizens of Bangladesh, Cambodia, India,

Indonesia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic,

Malaysia, Mongolia,

Myanmar, Pakistan, the People’s Republic of China,

Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan,

Thailand, Timor-Leste, or Vietnam; or
b. holders of Hong Kong permanent identity cards.

Applicants must not be citizens of

Aotearoa New Zealand

or holders of Aotearoa New Zealand

residence class visas.

Master’s Scholarship - University of Canterbury

$8,000  

Applicants must be citizens of Aotearoa New Zealand or

holders of Aotearoa New Zealand residence class visas.
Applicants must be full-time students

engaged in the first year of a programme

for a research master’s degree at the University. 

The proposed project associated with the

programme must be relevant

to the energy

needs of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Graduate Women Canterbury (Inc.)

Trust Board Scholarship

$4,500 

(tuition fees)  

Applicants must be female and citizens of NZ.

2 scholarships available for:

1) A female student who is enrolled full-time,

mainly at 300 level in any programme.

2) A female student who is enrolled full-time,

mainly at 400, 500, or 600

level courses,

not including any thesis course

in any programme.

Lighthouse Vision Trust Scholarship and

Susan Barnes Memorial Scholarship

$10,000   

Applicants must have a vision impairment

that qualifies them

to register with the Blind Foundation and

be enrolled full-time or part-time,

at the University at

either undergraduate or postgraduate level.

Association Lloyd Lilley Scholarship

$1,000  

Applicants must be enrolled full time

at the University of Canterbury and have attended

either Southland Girls’ High School or Southland Boys’ High School

in the year immediately prior to application;

Applicants must have achieved a

university entrance

qualification in the year immediately

prior to

enrolment at the

University of Canterbury.

University of Canterbury Alumni

Scholarship (Postgraduate)

$5,000  

Applicants must be enrolled full-time at the University in:
a. their final year of a programme

for an Honours degree; or
b. any year of a programme for a postgraduate degree

or a postgraduate diploma.

It would be helpful to have an affinity with the

objectives of the University of Canterbury

Alumni South Island Chapter,

as demonstrated in a brief statement

required

as part of the application.

Westpac Southland Scholarship

$1,000 

for two years  

Applicants must have completed at least one academic year

at the University of Canterbury and

whose earlier youth was spent substantially in

Southland and whose parents, or guardian,

are resident in Southland at the time of the award.
