Established in 1903, the Rhodes Scholarship programme is the oldest international scholarship programme in the world and one of the most prestigious. The funds for this scholarship are provided by the estate of Alan Courtney Tytheridge, a student at Canterbury College who lived in Japan for several decades. The Tytheridge Travelling Scholarship in Arts enables UC Arts graduates to study further overseas. Find out more.
