Background

Ellen grew up in the Netherlands and she moved to New Zealand in 1999.

She changed her career from a Laboratory Scientist to a Speech Language Therapist because she was passionate about working with people.

She completed her Bachelor of Speech and Language Therapy and Master of Science in Speech and Language Sciences at the University of Canterbury.

Ellen started working as a clinical educator in the Speech and Hearing Clinic in 2010. In addition to this, she works with people who have sustained a traumatic brain injury.
