The electric power sector recruits engineers from all disciplines, and all engineering students are invited to come and meet the companies behind our electric energy.

This annual event gives students the opportunity to meet recent graduate engineers and experienced representatives from the electricity industry, discuss career pathways for future engineers, and find jobs and internships.

Industry Lunchtime Sessions

Are you a Second or Third Year Electrical Engineering student looking for an internship or just curious about a career in the power industry? Come along to our Industry Lunchtime Sessions to meet representatives, learn about their companies, the power industry, career pathways and find internship and graduate opportunities. 

For all lunchtime sessions

  • Time: 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm
  • Venue: Meeting Room 120, Rātā Engineering Core
  • Pizza will be provided 🍕🍕🍕

Session Dates

  • Friday 24 July – Lumen (Consulting company, NZ-wide)
  • Friday 31 July – Vector (Distribution company, based in Auckland)
  • Friday 7 August – MainPower (Distribution company, based in Canterbury)
  • Friday 14 August – Connetics (Contracting company, based in Christchurch)
  • Thursday 20 August – Orion (Distribution company, based in Christchurch)
