To help make sense of the options, our researchers have developed a Home Energy Tool where you can upload your data to view your energy use profile and simulate changes, like adding solar, battery storage or an electric vehicle.
How it works
- First you will need to download or request a full year of half-hourly energy consumption data from your energy provider.
- Upload the data file to the Home Energy Tool and set your address.
- See your current energy usage profile.
- Try adding solar, battery storage, and/or an EV to see how your energy usage and costs could change.
