Rights and obligations
All vehicles parked on the University campus must purchace a valid E-permit or Paystay pass for the area the vehicle is parked in.
Purchase of E-permit does not guarantee a parking space on campus. It simply furnishes the holder the right to park in designated Staff or Student Permit Parking areas if space is available. This is covered in the University's Parking and Traffic Policy (download below). Permit holders are required to comply with instructions and appropriate parking regulations in the use of the permit.
Penalties for infringements
Infringement offences
Number 1 offences
- No valid E-permit / Coupon / PayStay payment.
- Parked over time in timed parking area.
- Parked/unmoved in a general carpark for more than 72 hours (without prior approval).
- Inconsiderate parking (parked facing the wrong way on a roadway).
- Parked in an unauthorised area / not a legitimate parking space.
Number 2 offences
- Parked in Reserved parking space.
- Blocking fire egress from a building.
Number 3 offence
- Parked in a mobility parking space without authority (disability parking pass or UC disability parking pass).
Cost of offences within the first 14 days (includes Discount for prompt payment)
- Number 1 Offence: $30 per Infringement if paid in the first 14 days
- Number 2 Offence: $50 per Infringement if paid in the first 14 days
- Number 3 Offence: $85 Per Infringement if paid in the first 14 days
Cost of offences after the first 14 days (prompt payment no longer applies)
- Number 1 Offence $45
- Number 2 Offence $65
- Number 3 Offence $100
Additional Fees
There will be additional fees for infringments that surpass a 14 day payment window please see above, also an administration fee of $10 will be added on an unpaid infringment on day 49 and an additional $20 on day 84, once the infringement reaches the end of this period the infringment will be handed to a debt cllection agency for collection and court action as required.

Appeals
Appeals for review of penalties incurred as a result of parking infringements must be made on the appropriate form.
Parking infringements constitute a legal debt to the University.
please be aware the appeal must be made within the first 49 days of the infringement period please note appeals lodged in these first 14 days, will hold the discount rate until the appeal is decided.
