How you will learn
The BTchLn is offered by a mix of on-campus and distance learning options. Our small and supportive classes are delivered by lecturers who are committed to your learning and development - and who get to know you.
Professional practice is undertaken at local schools, with which the Centre has strong links.
Our students come from the top of the South Island, including Richmond, Tasman, Motueka, Golden Bay and Marlborough. During term time, students are required to come onto campus for up to two days a week.
While enjoying the benefits of studying at UC, Nelson students also have access to all of NMIT’s facilities, including the cafeteria in the Student Centre, the Library Learning Centre and computer facilities such as the Fishbowl Computer Suite on the ground floor of the library.
The Centre gives easy access to the beautiful Nelson Region. It is located in the student area of the city, within walking distance of the CBD, cafes, art gallery and parks. Nelson is a small, friendly city with easily accessible services and offers a unique place to study while enjoying a special lifestyle. Nelson is a city for the arts and outdoor experiences.
The Nelson region is a favourite location for New Zealanders and overseas tourists alike. It offers beaches, easy access to the outdoors, cafes and a thriving arts community.
