THE World Subject Rankings for 2023 saw the University of Canterbury’s Business and Economics course increasing its ranking to 126-150, while six other subject areas retained the same ranking as the year before.

For its 2023 Impact Rankings, Times Higher Education (THE) gave the University of Canterbury a global institutional ranking of 77=, placing it among the top 80 universities for Global Impact worldwide.
From the categories the University submitted for consideration, four were ranked in the Top 100, with SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production receiving the highest ranking at #13.
