Community meetings

Hui ā-Hapori

09 June 2026

The University of Canterbury (UC) hosts Hui ā-Hapori | Community Meetings for campus neighbours to meet, discuss matters of mutual interest, and come together as part of the UC community by sharing in manaakitanga.

HOW TO APPLY

Hui ā-Hapori | Community Meetings enable campus neighbours and local, non-student residents to meet with UC representatives and discuss matters of mutual interest. Meetings are generally held at the beginning of the year, with additional meetings held as required or as determined by UC.

Hui ā-Hapori | Community Meetings allow UC to keep the local community informed about activities that may affect them, provide opportunities for neighbours to meet and talk with UC representatives and student leaders, and support engagement on matters relevant to the future of the University.

If you live near UC’s Ilam or Dovedale campuses and would like to be kept informed about future Hui ā-Hapori | Community Meetings, please email your name, address and contact details to marcommsandevents@canterbury.ac.nz
