Tātari Raraunga
The Tātari Raraunga | Analytics & Institutional Research (AIR) team works across the university to collect and analyse meaningful data that supports evidence-based decision-making. Our work includes student and staff surveys, institutional research, and learning analytics—providing insights that help UC improve academic quality and the student experience.
Tātari Raraunga | Analytics & Institutional Research (AIR) is part of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) portfolio. We work alongside the UC community to make data and insights easier to access and use, helping to improve the student experience and support academic quality.
Our work brings together three main areas:
- Surveys & Reporting – Gathering student and staff feedback, delivering dashboards, and ensuring data quality for informed decisions.
- Institutional Research – Providing analysis and insights on student success, equity, and outcomes to support planning and improvement.
- Learning Analytics & ACE – Using real-time engagement data to help teaching teams support students and enhance learning.
We also manage Student Evaluation of Teaching, offer Qualtrics survey support, and provide custom reporting and facilitate focus groups or workshops to capture meaningful feedback and insights.
Our goal is to provide UC with reliable data and insights that support informed decision-making.
