Topic

3D volumetric and point-cloud data machine learning algorithms

15 August 2023

Host Faculty: Engineering

General Subject Area: Statistics and Data Science

Project Level: PhD

HOW TO APPLY

At the Spatial and Image Learning (SAIL) group at University of Canterbury, we have been applying learning and reconstruction for 3D tomographic images in collaboration with UC Physics and Australian researchers. This project is directly related to UC SAIL's LiDAR 3D surface point clouds data and 2D image learning research. This research and development project would be around newly invented 3D image machine learning algorithms, and their applications. Also, you would get an in-depth R&D experience in current machine learning algorithms, and how they could be used for 3D classification, segmentation and regression.
