- Important information, people who lived in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland or France for a total period of six months or more between 1980 and 1996 are now able to donate blood or plasma in New Zealand - if they’re in good health and meet our donor eligibility criteria.

- Please remember to eat & drink plenty beforehand – a good-sized meal and drink at least 1.5 litres of water.
- Please bring your photo ID or donor card. The donor card can be accessed via the NZ Blood Service donor app if you an existing donor. Photo ID is your driver’s licence, passport, etc.
Blood is needed to save lives in times of emergencies and to sustain the lives of those going through cancer treatments, undergoing surgery, childbirth, as well as those with autoimmune disorders or bleeding disorders.
