Go to the UC Security Office (114 Ilam Road), taking one of the following forms of ID with you:
- Your previous student ID
- Your driver's licence
- Your passport
- A passport photograph certified by a Justice of the Peace, school principal or solicitor, with "certified as a true and correct likeness of [your full name]". It must also include the date, signature and designation, along with the authoriser’s official stamp if available.
If you have accepted your Enrolment Agreement and provide suitable identification, you can then be issued with your student ID card.
The Security Office is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.
OFF CAMPUS STUDENTS
If you are studying off campus and cannot visit the Security Office, you should instead send by mail a certified passport photo and a note with the following details:
- your full name
- your student ID number
- a 4-digit pin
- your postal address

Your student ID card will be generated and sent to the address you have provided.
Note: STAR students studying by distance do not need a Canterbury Card.
Photos can not be sent electronically.
