A Fine and Private Place - an exhibition highlighting the life of the Canterbury poet and artist Ursula Bethell (1874 - 1945) - is opening at Te Whare Waiutuutu Kate Sheppard House. The exhibition offers the rare opportunity to view examples of her work as an accomplished water-colour artist alongside archival papers from her literary life that are held in the University Library’s collection. The exhibition is curated by UC Library Archivist Erin Kimber.

Open from Friday 4 November to Sunday 4 December 2022, Te Whare Waiutuuku is located next to the University of Canterbury (83 Clyde Road).
